Meet the Chef
An enthusiastic home cook to a professional chef
Prior to setting up Bankside Dining, Jacqui spent 35 years running a management consultancy business in central London whilst indulging her passion for food. As an amateur cook she attended numerous courses and chef days, including spending a day with Simon Rogan at L’Enclume in Cartmel, Cumbria; attending the Soups & Sauces day at Leith’s Cookery School in London; experiencing the River Cottage in Dorset; and completing the Advanced Cookery week at Ashburton in Devon. More recently she developed specialist skills in bread making, fermenting and pickling, cheese making and butchery.
In 2019, Jacqui finally realised her dream of training professionally and took herself off to the famous Ashburton Chef’s Academy in Devon. She is now a qualified chef, gaining both a Level-2 Certificate in Culinary Arts (Distinction) and Level-3 Food Hygiene and Supervisory Management.
Bankside Dining was established by Jacqui in 2020 and was initially registered with Bromley Borough Council. We have since relocated to the heart of South Lancashire. The business is serviced from Jacqui’s home kitchen in Haigh, Lancashire.
